As most of you know, I just received my Arbeitsvertrag (work contract) in the mail a few days ago!! At this point, things are "almost official". I do have a job, a have a few signatures and official papers to prove that, but I am currently still in the process of finalizing everything.
I am working on arranging and signing all of the documents needed for my Work Visa, which I will mail out probably a week or two from now, and upon approval of that, I will reship everything back to my German employer! I just hope everything goes to plan the first time (i.e. the German Consulate decides my papers are valid and gives me the stamp of approval) ;-)
In other news: I need to really start cracking down on my German. I swear it is getting worse by the day...xD
The title of my blog is inspired from my traumatic brain injury on January 8, 2008, an event in my life that could have easily either taken my life, or left me brain dead. I had to relearn to walk and went through over a year of rehabilitation. In my opinion, life is a gift and in-fact, anything is possible if you work hard enough towards your goals. I am now studying International Business in Germany since two years, and I try to travel in the little free-time I get ^^

It's been a while... ;)
I haven't posted in a long time; I do realize this. Well, for anyone who does not yet know, I received the job!! Which means that I will be moving to Germany next year!!
I will be working as an intern at Rheinmetall Waffe Munition in Neuenburg Am Rhein, while working on my Bachelor of Arts/ International Business. I'm not 100% certain as to what I will be focusing on, but I'm kind of leaning towards either Marketing or Management...I think I would definitely make a good Manager; I know how to make responsible decisions in life and I am a pretty excellent organizer/communicator. ;-)
Aaarrrggghhhh!!!! It's SO ridiculously crazy to think that I'll be back in Germany in less than a year!
Exactly 1 year from now I will be in my 3-4 week at the University! I am currently finishing up my last 2 semesters at my U.S. College, and I'll most likely be flying over in July/August? It depends on when Rheinmetall wants me to come over, I guess.
The best part about all of this is not only the amazing experience I'll receive while working at this International company,AND the fact that I'll be living in Europe, but I will have received my degree after 3 years without ever having to pay for my education! Even my college education in the U.S. was paid for by my scholarship!
Honestly, I am entirely blessed and thankful for everything. I can't thank this company enough for giving me this wonderful, life changing opportunity. I know I'll do my best and even more to expand and help with their business; I won't let anyone down. ;-)
