Game of Thrones

So excited to read this book in German. I have to say it's a little difficult, but it helps me practice and learn the language. 

I haven't taken many pictures of my adventures in Germany yet since I've been so incredibly busy, but I'll try to update it after this weekend. I think I'm going to France or somewhere in Southern-Germany with my German family this weekend. I'll have a good opportunity to take pictures then ;-)

Last Days in America ;-)

It was really nice to get to spend time with my family and friends during my last few days in the U.S. I'm really going to miss you guys! :-) So I attached my favorite photos of yesterday, and I'll attach more photos from today when I'm in Germany.

Last Month in America pt 3 (North Carolina/Mackinac Island)

Had a pretty awesome week. Last Sunday, my Mom surprised me with a short trip to North Carolina to see my family. It was nice seeing everyone again after about 3 years. :)

The 4th of July was on Friday. That was probably my most favorite 4th of July yet! The day started with Germany winning their World Cup match. Then I got to be a part of the 4th of July parade. Although I twisted my knee prior to the parade, I still had the opportunity to walk a bit in the parade and take pictures of my Aunt and Uncle's Ukulele group float. Afterwards we headed to the field and grilled out. There was so much food! The day ended with fireworks, lanterns, glow-sticks, and sparklers.

On Monday, my friend Tori and I went to Mackinac Island. It was a wonderful trip and I was introduced to another German speaker. The weather was amazing too! I am so glad to have had the opportunity to visit the island again with my long-time friend. :-)
